Together let us pray to the LORD of the harvest
If we realise that we are lost sinners, we will cry for help. If we realise that the rest of the world are also lost sinners, we will also cry out to God for help for them.

About Wycliffe India
The vision for Bible translation by Indian nationals was birthed in 1980; which facilitated work among many unwritten languages in India in the past decades. In 2008 Wycliffe India was formed to reach some of these minority language groups. The availability of the Word of God in the mother tongue of people is the greatest asset to young believers in these communities. A strong and growing faith, leading to a total transformation is possible only with access to the Scriptures, both in print and non-print form.
Over 200 years ago, William Carey began this great work in India. It is now the responsibility of the Indian Church to complete the work Carey began. Wycliffe India considers itself as part of the church to accelerate this process. Wycliffe India stands with the church to complete the Great Commission and to hasten the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, by preparing His bride, the church, with the Word of God to receive Him.
In collaboration with several agencies, Wycliffe India is equipping many language communities to develop their first alphabets and writing systems. Development of a written language, from oral to written form, is the major milestone as it affirms the value of a language to that community. Putting a language into written form helps preserve its linguistic and cultural richness. When the Bible is translated, and people read it in their own mother tongue for the very first time, they experience God’s message of hope, joy and love.
Wycliffe India’s services are available to all peoples, regardless of religious belief, gender and ethnic background. The ministry of Bible translation requires Linguists, Translators, Literacy Specialists, IT Professionals, Accountants, Managers, Teachers, Community Development Workers, and people in a myriad of other roles. Some of these roles require people with short-term commitment and other roles require people with a life-time commitment.
